Laurance Lee 林灼世
A lifetime commitment to SFUSD.
San Francisco native and SFUSD graduate — now serving as Bond Oversight Committee Vice Chair and classroom volunteer, ready to bring that hands-on experience to the Board.
Why I'm running
Public schools changed my life. As the son of an undocumented Chinese immigrant, I found a second home in SFUSD classrooms — and the teachers here helped me overcome a speech impediment and build the confidence to succeed. I've spent years giving that back: volunteering in classrooms, serving on the district's bond oversight committee, and helping hundreds of students access scholarships and opportunity.

Ready to help build a stronger SFUSD?
Vote-by-mail ballots arrive the week of October 5. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026 — every vote counts.
My priorities for the Board
Three commitments guiding every vote I'd cast.
Better Outcomes for Every Student
Literacy first, expanded access to programs like 8th-grade algebra and Mandarin Immersion, and instruction guided by data — not guesswork.
More for Students. More for Families.
Real community voice in district decisions, and budget clarity families can actually follow.
A Lifetime Commitment to SFUSD
Independent fiscal oversight and a culture of continuous improvement — accountability over politics.
